同仁堂西黄丸为糊丸传统制作技艺，一是选用“上等、纯洁、地道”药材，传承着清宫用药标准。二是制作工艺精良。糊丸是同仁堂具有悠久生产历史和特色的传统制剂，具有独到的生产技艺，包括药材鉴别炮炙技艺、粉碎与细料套研技艺、起模子泛丸技艺、阴干选粒技艺，保证了药品的疗效和质量。

Tong Ren Tang Xihuang Pills adopt the traditional pill starching techniques which only accept “premium, pure and authentic” medicinal materials and are subject to the standards that were once used in medicine supply for the imperial palace in Qing Dynasty. Meanwhile, many complicated processes are used in the production. Tong Ren Tang has applied its featured and time-honored pill starching techniques which include many unique production processes such as medicinal materials identification, grinding, fine materials mixing, water-based pill making, drying in shade and selecting, so as to guarantee the efficacy and quality of the medicine.
